5 out of 5 stars Awesome Ride   December 29, 2008
I got the scooter for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it! She uses a scooter like this one at school and now she can ride it at home also. She is 8 years old and just loves it. The price is right and it is a great workout for the kids, instead of all those electric things. No batteries, no headaches. She can not fall off. It is great!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome fun!   December 28, 2008
We got a flying turtle for Christmas this year. The boys love it and we may get another since it is so popular. It is a classic, fun toy that our boys ages 5 and 7 were really excited to get.

2 out of 5 stars Too much work to have fun...   December 7, 2008
I purchased this because when my kids were small they had one and loved it. It was fast and fun so I thought my grandchildren would love it. Although it looks the same it does not work as easily and is a real effort to get it moving. I had several different kids of different heights and weights try it but it just didn't work well. I was going to return it but didn't. It may just be the one I got but I don't think I would recommend it to any one since I assume it isn't defective but just the way they are made now.

5 out of 5 stars Amazed they still sell this toy in our litigious society   November 23, 2008
I had a flying turtle way back in the day -- it must have been the early seventies, as I was 5 or 6. I look at my left hand right now, as I'm typing, 35 some odd years later, and I can see the scars on my ring and little fingers. They came from the inevitable abrasions that your child can anticipate, from their fingers meeting the sidewalk, gripping the handlebars, as they fly on the turtle. Ahhh, the blood, the memories, the scars. Weeee! They don't make toys like they used to. Or at least I thought so until I saw "the original" flying turtle on Amazon. Kudos to the flying turtle people!

Wow! I remember riding one of these when I was young. They are so much fun. What memories. Didn't realize how expensive they were, but I suppose it's not too bad.
