Present for Little Brother September 25, 2008 I bought this for my little brother because he needed a soccer ball for soccer practice and he just plain loves kicking, throwing, hitting and just down right playing with a ball. Please take note that while it is shipped UN-inflated, this is standard. Those balls you buy in the store are inflated thanks to the employees. Shipping costs BEFORE the gas prices got out of hand were bad. Now they're even worse to deal with rising costs.
So please make sure you have a pump with a needle on it in order to inflate the ball. I suggest a small pump that has the needle attached so you don't have to worry about losing the needle. Besides, you probably need to put a little more air in it once and a while. So it's a great investment. Overall, this is money extremely well spent.
Great Ball except... August 17, 2008 it was shipped deflated and came with no ball pump. However, once I found a pump, the ball is great and the kids love how they come in all choices of colors... I have the purple/white one and the red one. The red one is the favorite. The purple one seems lighter than pictured and is a great color for a girl. I love the fact that I can order soccer stuff on-line and not have to bother going into the crowded stores during soccer season.
Great ball, no packaging August 16, 2008 This is a great soccer ball. It comes in some fantastic color combos. The only problem I had was that I was giving them as a gift and they come uninflated (unacceptable for four year olds), so I had to inflate them and find a box that would fit. So if you're buying for yourself it's no big deal.
Sticky and poorly stitched July 8, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This ball seemed pretty good at first. It has a classic design that resembles higher-priced balls. But compared to several other moderately priced soccer balls, like the Adidas F50, Teamgeist II and even cheaper balls from Brine and Wilson, this is a poor ball. First, the cover is very sticky, which makes it difficult to dribble. It's discouraging for younger players who are just learning footwork, because the ball sticks instead of sliding or rolling. Kids end up tripping on it more than they would a different ball. Second, the stitching came loose in one section after only a couple of months of light use. Maybe it was just this ball, but if it's an indication of the overall quality of this model's construction, buyers shouldn't expect to get more than a season out of it--at best. I wouldn't buy this ball again. However, I have another model Diadora (Cobra) and it's excellent.
Perfect soccer ball for casual players July 4, 2008 When I decided to buy a soccer ball of my own, I wanted to find an inexpensive ball that I wouldn't mind if it got beat up over time. After searching through the soccer balls available on Amazon, this was the best deal I found on a ball that is well reviewed and inexpensive. It hasn't disappointed.
It's perfect for what I want, and I'm giving it plenty of use. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a casual player's soccer ball.
