discriminating consumer December 30, 2008 My VERY PICKY son asked for fleece sweatpants without elastic cuffs for Christmas. I did alot of research and found these and he absolutely loves them. Be aware that the outside fabric is not cotton knit like most sweatpants but they are very fleecy and cozy on the inside. Buying a second pair for him now. HIGHLY recommend.

nice and warm. perfect for bumming around the house or out for a walk/ride on a cool day. they seem very well built and so far seem to resist pill-ing, unlike regular sweats
Under armour sweats... April 2, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Out with my Nike sweats, in with the best comfort and athletic wear I had in while...These under armour sweats are my 3rd pair (now, own navy, black) and now grey color.
Under Armour - the new definitive sports apparel brand November 8, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought these pants in great part to the review above. Certainly, I want quality gear but I have also recognized, arguably, that going to the gym is part fashion. My $10 Walmart sweats had me a bit embarrassed as I personally have no physique to strut. These sweats, coupled with a Under Armour top (the loose fit) finally made me comfortable/look good enough to simply attend and do my thing. They look good. I want to look good. To do that, I need to excercise. I can't excercise if I don't feel comfortable. In addition, add the quality of the materials and workmanship, the prestige of an up-and-coming brand that in my mind and for those in the know has already surpassed Nike, and you've got a winner.
Modern Version of the Classic Fleece Pants February 1, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Under Armours just might possibly be the best line of athletic apparel. All their workout clothes are well-designed and engineered to help your body function even when the ambient temperature is extreme. They have a line of clothing especially engineered to be worn during hot weather. This line of workout gear is designed to help sweat and moisture evaporate from your body. Basically, the material wicks perspiration from your skin, like what a towel does to water. However, unlike a towel that will absorb and retain the water, the fabrics used in this series are designed to help that moisture evaporate. It doesn't hold moisture, therefore the garment never feels heavy. More importantly, the evaporation of the moisture helps keep your body cool.
They also have another line of clothing that is designed for cold weather activities. This line also helps perspiration evaporate from your body. However, the thicker material also helps your body retain heat. Interestingly, helping sweat evaporate quickly is just as important during cold weather as it is during hot weather. Some of the clothing in the cold gear series are designed to be work together. For the inner layer, usually you will wear one of their moisture-wicking long sleeve shirt. These usually have a tight fit. And over that, you wear some sort of wind shell.
The fleece pants that are the subject of this review belong to their all-weather line of clothes. Basically, they can be worn as long as the temperature is not hot. The inner material is fleece, however, the outside has a smoother and shinier look than your old sweatpants. The bottom is not banded. And the fit seems to be slightly loose. It has a more casual appearance and fit than your traditional sweatpants.
These are my favorite pair of workout pants. They are expensive, but so far, I have not found a better alternative. Also, they are probably best for indoor workouts. They are not designed to be wind resistant.
Over the years, I have tried many line of workout wear. I started out with Nike's Dri-Fit line. Nike's workout clothes are also well-made. But they are even more expensive than the Under Armour brand. A typical Nike Dri-Fit T-Shirt will cost atleaast $30. The same style in Under Armour would be a few dollars cheaper. Please keep in mind that we are not talking about the Nikes that you can buy at the various shoe retailers. We're comparing the Under Armours to Nike's more serious line of clothing.
I have been pleased with the Under Armours. The only thing about them that I'm not happy with is that they do not make those super sexy athletic wear for the girls. Maybe that's why the UAs are not as popular with women. Your friend and humble reviewer, Citan, is a guy. But he does appreciate his eye candy at the gym once in a while. And sadly, the UA line does not contribute to that passion.
I can recommend these sweatpants for just about any indoor workout. They are superior to those old, grey sweatpants that you've been wearing. C'mon, be kind to yourself. Ditch those old sweats and upgrade to these.
